Everyday before coming into work each employee performs a temperature check to ensure they are healthy. Another temperature check is done upon arrival at each service call. This helps reduce exposure to our customers and other employees, in the event someone does become ill.
Covid-19 can be spread by airborne transmission. We will wear facial coverings when coming into your home for all indoor air quality, AC and heater repairs.
Covid-19 most commonly spreads during close contact. We will do our best to keep a 6-foot distance at all times while in your home. We have also begun dispatching employees electronically to keep from congregating at our office.
It has been proven that COVID-19 lives on surfaces for days, but in an abundance of caution, we wear shoe coverings as well. Before entering your home, we will put on shoe coverings to protect your floors and keep from tracking anything throughout your home.
Each vehicle is equipped with hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. We sanitize any high touch areas several times a day and sanitize hands before and after each indoor air quality, AC, or heater repair call.
Portable air purifiers and HVAC filters are not enough to protect people from the virus or to ensure your home has great indoor air quality. It is recommended to ventilate with outside air as often as possible, but we know that is not always realistic with the heat during our Texas summers. It is also recommended to run your HVAC system as much as possible to filter the air, however, this results in wear and tear on your unit, reducing its life, skyrocketing electric bills and isn’t completely effective. For our customers health, pocketbook and peace of mind we have started carrying the APCO Ultraviolet Air Purification System. This system reduces airborne pathogens such as mold, bacteria, viruses and odors. It breaks down impurities into simple carbon dioxide and water vapor, and the UV-C lamp disinfects the air. It’s not only great for protection against these contaminants, but it also helps with allergies and pet odors by actually cleaning the air moving throughout your house, not just filtering or deodorizing it. It’s a great option for workspaces as well, giving employees and customers a feeling of safety.
